How it works:
Step 1: Iron Boss with Oxy-Boost utilizes ozone to supercharge the filtration chamber with oxygen. When oxygen comes in contact with the iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese in your water, their physical properties are altered on a molecular level as they become oxidized.
Step 2: The new iron oxide and elemental sulfur are then physically filtered out of your water utilizing Iron Boss’s equally unique feature – Diamonite filtration media. When combined, these two features work perfectly together, naturally removing unwanted elements from your water.
Step 3: After your water has been filtered, it can either flow directly into your home for consumption, or into secondary filtration systems; depending on your individual need. The Iron Boss with Oxy-Boost system is also self-cleaning; automatically rinsing and re-oxygenating the media bed, minimizing the need for scheduled maintenance.

The Iron Boss Plus pH neutralizes acid water plus oxidizes and filters iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese - all in one unit. The natural-colored media tank features a large, threaded dome hole with threaded plug closure. The dome hole accommodates a self-supporting funnel for replenishing neutralizing media. The natural color tank allows visual monitoring of the media level.
Based on your water usage and tested water quality, the neutralizing media will be replenished on an annual or semi-annual schedule by your authorized Iron Boss dealer. The Iron Boss Plus pH neutralizes low pH acid water using Calcite, a natural crushed and screened white marble calcium media to a neutral 7.0 pH. In pH water of 6.0 or lower, Corosex, a specially processed hard bead magnesia of magnesium oxide, is blended with Calcite to neutralize carbon dioxide to render the water non-corrosive.
The Iron Boss Plus pH oxidizes and filters iron, hydrogen sulfide, or manganese by adding oxygen to the filter media during the draw cycle. As water passes through the filter media it is oxidized, changing the contaminants to an element that is filterable. Eventually, water passing through the Iron Boss Plus pH will deplete its absorbed oxygen and the unit regenerates.
During regeneration, the captured contaminants are backwashed to the drain. The tank empties of water, replenishing the media with oxygen from the atmosphere, then refills with water as it cycles back into service. The Iron Boss Plus pH is fully automated. Your dealer will program the unit based on your water quality. Typically, the system regenerates every three days to refresh the media bed, renewing its capacity.
The Iron Boss Plus pH is assembled with control valve and distributor installed on a natural color dome hole tank. Half of the Calcite media is pre-loaded in the filter and half is shipped in separate boxes. Remove the dome hole plug. Insert funnel, sold separately, into dome hole. Load the 50 lbs bags of calcite into the tank. (0.55 cft per bag). If needed, add Calcite with Corosex by either pre-blending or alternating scoops of the two medias. When media loading is complete, replace and tighten dome hole plug. See chart below to determine proper ratio of media per pH reading.
