Well-known whole home water purification systems currently on the market fail to address every known contaminant and chemical found in water, forcing consumers to buy multiple filters and systems to cleanse their water. In response to this need, CWC has developed a comprehensive, seven-stage water purification and softening system that treats toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and other contaminants, becoming the first brand on the market to offer the highest level of water purification and softening for the home.
Unlike competitor systems, which have intentional failures after a certain number of months or years, Clean Water Co’s water purification and softening system were designed to be maintenance-free and last 10 to 15 years.
The system self-cleans and self-maintains through the use of a salt system that prevents bacteria growth. In addition, the system is able to treat bacteria, disinfectants, and heavy metals, helping to reduce damage to the home’s plumbing system, decrease the customer’s exposure to health risks posed by contaminated water, and reduce the need for bottled water.
This system uses the following media:
Active Carbon
Active Carbon filter use to target Chlorine, Taste and Order.
Resin
Resin is most commonly found in water softening systems. A water softener is a device that uses sodium ions to remove calcium and magnesium ions from water.
Stone bedding
Stone bedding is an essential component of a water filtration system. It helps to capture and filter the sediment, dirt, and other contaminants from the water that passes through it. Stone bedding works by trapping large particles in its pores and on its surface. The pores act like tiny filters that catch particles as small as 0.5 microns in size, making it an effective way to reduce the amount of suspended solids in a water filtration system.
2 layers x KDF 55:
KDF 55 is made of granulated copper and zinc alloys, which are designed to reduce heavy metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic and iron from water sources.
2 layers x KDF 85
KDF 85 is regarded as the more effective of the two since it has been enhanced with an additional layer of activated carbon that further reduces impurities in water. . It works by adsorbing organic matter, chlorine and other contaminants found in water sources.
More about the media in this system:
KDF 55 vs KDF 85: What's the difference?
KDF 55 and KDF 85 are both granular bed media developed by The Kinetics Group. KDF 55 is a copper-zinc alloy which utilizes an oxidation-reduction reaction to reduce chlorine and other contaminants in water, while KDF 85 is a high-purity copper-zinc formula with higher contaminant reduction capabilities. Both the KDF 55 and KDF 85 can be used in residential water filters, shower filters, spa filters, and whole house systems.
Is this system overkill?
Absolutely not. This system was originally created in Florida with a design to handle the worst conditions of water. Each layer was designed with specific contaminants in mind and organized protect the other media layers. This is how our systems last 10-15 years.
Additionally, our system includes a reverse osmosis system to go under your sink. Although all the water in your house will be filtered, adding the RO system will provide fully purified drinking and cooking water.
